Ignoring people you care about is hard. Telling them the truth when you know he/she isn’t going to take it well is even harder.

  • Me: What is your opinion on a girl asking out a guy...and how should she go about doing so?
  • Brother: Generally, that implies a guy that is clueless or not interested. If a girl i.e. you (ha) ask a guy out you need to be prepared if you get turned down. How does he interact with you? What signs has he given you that make you think he likes you?
  • Me: I'm just impatient. I'm not going to actually ask him out, just curious. We're just both hella busy, but he always has time to open doors for me and wish me a good day! He's a good one. We'll see where and if it goes any further. :)
  • Brother: If there is no rush, just keep leaving hints. (ha) When you are ready just get more and more obvious. (haha) If you feel like you need to up the ante, invite him to lunch. Just the two of you. If he asks if its a date at any point before or during, pull the "Doesn't have to be. Call it what you like." Usually that paints a pretty clear picture. (haha)
  • Me: I can wait. And willing to wait.
  • Brother: Don't wait too long. Keep one eye open for other potentials ;) Sometimes seeing a girl talk to or look like she is interested in another guy is enough to get the guy to step his game up and grow a pair (ha)

Why doesn’t anyone date anymore?

I feel like the only people that “date” are those who are already in a relationship. What happened to testing the waters? Seeing what’s out there? WITHOUT any attachments from the get go. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant either, which is the best part. I say we all start casually dating again! Bring it back!

Why is flying so expensive? :(

I just want to visit people and explore. Is that too much to ask for? I want this summer to be full of greatness and travel and exploration. I’ve been looking at flights all week…but I just don’t have the money not matter how much I wish it were there. All this work, too…and still I’m just here scrolling through flights I can’t even afford!

I think I’m the only one against this whole Ricky Martin on Glee thing.

Ricky Martin, you make life difficult sometimes. Now I have to watch an entire episode of Glee. And hear your songs butchered. And hear whiny voices. But I will watch it because I love you so dearly. And you aren’t bad to look at either.

sidenote: I wish people would listen to his songs other than the “popular”. There is a reason why he is never taken seriously! “Livin’ La Vida Loca”, “She Bangs”, and “Shake Your Bon Bon” should NOT define his career. But it does. And I have to accept that.
